Effective Immediately: There is to be no parking on the streets of Stoneybrook at any time according to Section 24-29 of the Lee County Code of Ordinances. View ordinance here.  “NO STREET PARKING” signs will be installed by the Gateway District soon (by the Summer of 2010).

This is not a decision made by the Stoneybrook at Gateway Board of Directors, this is an unincorporated Lee County ordinance on the books of Lee County.  "Gateway" is considered unincorporated Lee County by the U.S. Census.  PDF version of the ordiance.

Gateway Dog Park

The Gateway Community Development District dog park provides a place for dog owners to let their pets run free safely and legally without a leash. The park is approximately 1 acre and is located adjacent to the Sherman Soccer Complex. The dog park has 2 fenced areas, 1 for large dogs and 1 for small dogs. To register and obtain entry to the dog park (a valid electronic access card is required), please visit the Gateway Services District office at 13240 Griffin Drive, Fort Myers, FL 33913 or call 561-1313 for information. For more information go to www.gatewaydistrict.org and click on the dog park link.

Gateway Boulevard Landscaping

Gateway Boulevard is 75% completed. Griffin Drive will be done in 2009.

Irrigation Improvements

This project was not completed as scheduled. Gateway Services District requires a utility easement through Hampton Park from WCI, who is now bankrupt.

Gateway Boulevard Turnover to Lee County

Lee County is waiting on WCI, who owns most of the road, but GSD owns from SR82 to the power lines. If the County takes over, the speed limit on Gateway Blvd. most likely will be increased and truck traffic will be allowed. The GSD Traffic Committee will be meeting with Lee County to discuss options to slow traffic along Gateway Blvd and discourage trucks from using this route in the future.
